There is a translation mistake here: Lutsenko is worried about unintended blasts - not about "suicide bombings".

This is like pussy and parsley - different things!

Lutsenko complains about frequent suicide bombings in the Ukrainian Armed Forces using makeshift “prohibited equipment”

Луценко жалуется на частые самоподрывы в ВСУ на кустарной «запрещёнке»

The buffer zone -the Kremlin’s usual code for territories it has yet to seize but fully intends to.

The push came near the village of Horikhove, on the border between the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, as the Kremlin declared a new phase in its ‘denazification’ campaign. Dmitry Peskov, Putin’s press secretary, claimed that the Russian penetration into the region is part of an effort to create a buffer zone in Ukraine, but this phrase is no more than the Kremlin’s usual code for territories it has yet to seize but fully intends to. Once it is captured, ‘the buffer zone’ will move deeper into Ukraine, again and again, until there is no country left for Russia to invade.

Russian advances into Dnipropetrovsk have so far stretched no more than a few dozen metres. Militarily, the gains are insignificant. But they are symbolic: turning another Ukrainian region into a war zone strengthens Moscow’s hand at the negotiating table. At the recent talks in Istanbul, Russia’s chief negotiator, Vladimir Medinsky, threatened to seize as many as eight regions if Kyiv refuses to surrender four now. ‘Russia is prepared to fight forever,’ he said, before asking: can Ukraine? With Russian troops stepping into Dnipropetrovsk and seizing a dozen villages in the northeastern Sumy region, Medinsky’s threat is no bluff.

Legions of online armchair warriors praised Ukraine’s “bad-ass operation” that will “go down in history” and be “studied for years to come.”

Легионы диванных вояк кинулись нахваливать “крутую” операцию Украины, которая “войдет в историю” и будет “изучаться в течение многих лет”.

On June 1, Ukraine used swarms of drones hidden in trucks smuggled across Russia’s border to attack one leg of its nuclear triad of missiles, submarines, and aircraft.

This time, the bombing was no joke. But the Western reaction hardly took the prospect of nuclear escalation seriously.

The operation was “a brilliant technical performance” that showed “why Ukraine will win this war,” according to French philosopher Bernard Henri-Levy writing in the Wall Street Journal. Rebecca Grant, vice president of the Lexington Institute, posted on the Fox News site that Americans should “savor Ukraine’s brilliant strike on Putin’s terror bombers. Too bad Ukraine can’t do it again. Or can they?”

The Washington Post editorialized that the operation showed that Ukrainians are “tough, determined – and right. Theirs is a fight the United States should be proud to support.” Legions of online armchair warriors praised Ukraine’s “bad-ass operation” that will “go down in history” and be “studied for years to come.”

Such reactions largely ignored the impact that such attacks might have on nuclear stability between the United States and Russia, which together hold more than 90 percent of the world’s nuclear weapons.

The phrase "Lilli‐Burlero Bullen‐a‐la!" comes from the 17th-century English political song Lillibullero, which was popular during the Glorious Revolution of 1688. The phrase itself doesn't have a direct English translation—it is more of a rhythmic refrain rather than meaningful words. Some historians believe it may have been intended to mimic Irish-sounding speech or serve as a chant.

The song satirized the appointment of Richard Talbot, Earl of Tyrconnell, as Lord Deputy of Ireland, and it became widely sung by supporters of William of Orange

In 1686, Thomas, Lord Wharton composed lyrics for Purcell's tune. The rakish Wharton was satirizing King James II's appointment of Richard Talbot, 1st Earl of Tyrconnell as Lord Deputy of Ireland. Wharton's conceit is a sarcastic conversation between two Irishmen about the imminent arrival of the Catholic Talbot, and its dire implications for the Protestants.:  "Lilliburlero" (with -rl) was the watchword used by Irish Catholics during the Irish Rebellion of 1641

The Quest for Fire (French: La Guerre du feu, literally The War of Fire) is a 1911 Belgian fantasy novel by J.-H. Rosny, the pseudonym of two brothers; the author was actually the elder of the two, Joseph Henri Honoré Boex (1856–1940). It was first published in English in an abridged edition in 1967.

It was adapted into the critically acclaimed 1981 film Quest for Fire starring Ron Perlman. The film is not a faithful adaptation of the book.

Setting
The Quest for Fire takes place in 100,000 BC in Europe. The fauna of this period is omnipresent, including mammoths, cave lions, aurochs, cave bears, saber-toothed cats, giant elks and saiga antelopes. Several humanoid species live alongside animals: the Ulams (Neandertal-like hunters-gatherers who worship the fire and are able to ally themselves with beasts), the Wahs (people without shoulders from marshes), the Blue-Haired Men (huge four-handed simians with a bluish fur), the Men-Eaters (bestial cannibals) and the Red Dwarfs (extremely warmongering and xenophobic pygmies).

mālama - "to care for"

The ancient Hawaiian concept of mālama ("to care for") which encourages visitors to give back to the environment and local communities through activities like habitat restoration, beach cleanups or food provision. But Mālama goes beyond eco-tourism: it's about leaving a place better than you found it. And after seeking out these experiences during a three-week stay, we found mālama not only improves Hawaii, it also made our time there much more meaningful.

This isn’t just a policy shift on Ukraine—it indicates a fundamental rethinking of how America engages with allies and strategic partners. For President Trump, U.S. foreign and economic policy are intertwined, and both must serve American interests first and foremost. American assistance to an ally or would-be ally is not a right; it must be earned and reciprocal.

This markedly departs from the long-standing norms of American foreign policy—an approach that, over generations, has fostered its own culture of entitlement. In Washington, foreign aid is generally treated as a one-way street, with taxpayer dollars flowing outward to every corner of the globe. Trump’s shift marks the start of a new diplomatic approach, where U.S. support is given with clear conditions, not as an open-ended handout.
