| Y. Entin But for winter, cold an’ white Coming to the towns, We would not have such delight, As we’re having now. Kids would not make snowmen With a jolly twitter, Ski-tracks wouldn’t meander then… Never, but for winter. But for winter, full of fun, - It’s known for certain, - We would melt under the sun, S ummer – be a burden. We would not witness a day, Snowy an’ windy, An’ the bullfinch wouldn’t stay With us… But for winter. But for winter, cold an’ white, Summer round the year, We would never have the night… Night of The New Year. We’d not hear Father Frost Knock on our window, Rivers would, but stay unfroze’… Ever, but for winter. But for winter, cold an’ white Coming to the towns, We would not have such delight, As we’re having now. | |
