I knew the inevitability of the conflict and warned about it in the article that was published in the May issue of the “New Times” magazine in 1990. At that moment “The Clash of Civilizations” was still in the making, but I am sure that we would have found many similarities with Samuel Huntington who saw the fault-lines dividing Ukraine as the casus belli of the future “clash”. Still, my wife and I came over from Yelabuga (Russia) to settle in Zaporozhye because our parents were getting old and might need our assistance.

The first five chapters of this book were ready in Zaporozhye (Ukraine). The chapters about the expansion of NATO and the Monroe Doctrine were finished in Przemyśl and Warsaw (Poland) on the long way to Canada where I came with my wife on November 6, 2022. Thus, most chapters appeared in the neck of the woods of Queensville (East Gwillimbury) – an hour’s drive to the downtown of Toronto.

Стаття пропонує нові сценарії гри «Нехай поб’ють один одного», що була описана Еріком Берном. Назва гри тлумачиться тут як когнітивний фрейм, що розгортується у різних комбінаціях кроків. Ці комбінації служать основою більш специфічних когнітивних сценаріїв. Цілком зрозуміло, що варіанти гри, описані у книзі «Ігри, у які грають люди», не в змозі охопити усі можливі сценарії гри: Курт Воннегут мав рацію уявляти, що «напрямки розповіді» (комбінації кроків) не будуть вичерпані ще 10000 років.

Cлідом за цільовими дослідженнями Л. С. Виготського, Карла Леонгарда та інших стаття ілюструє гру «Нехай поб’ють один одного» когнітивними сценаріями, вилученими з творів Мопассану «Любий друг»,
І. С. Тургенєву «Перше кохання», О. Купріна «Поєдинок», І. Шоу «Вершина пагорбу», Дж. Лондону «Мартін Іден» і «Біле Ікло».

Усі приклади мають справу з традиційним трикутником, комунікація у якому відзначається маніпулюванням з боку принаймні одного з учасників.

Головний сценарій гри «Нехай поб’ють один одного» доцільно конкретизувати другим, який ясніше відповідає прикладам Еріка Берна: «Шукай жінку!» (“Cherchez la femme”). Цей сценарій пропонує у жартливій формі розуміти жінку як головний чинник бійок, непорозумінь та інших турбот. Тлумачення психології цього сценарія як «жіноча» Еріком Берном уявляється помилковим: цей сценарій є класичною точкою зору чоловіка, що дуже не подобається сучасним феміністкам. Остатнє є вразливим доказом того, що розглядаємий тут сценарій має ДВА тлумачення його психології: зовнішнє і внутрішніє. У зовнішніму вона є troublemaker - особою, яка є порушником спокою і лукавим маніпулятором - негативна оцінка. У внутрішнєму вона домінує у відносинах з чоловіком і тому заслуговує на повагу як особа, більш пристосована до боротьби за виживання (struggle for survival) - позитивна оцінка.

Ключові слова: гра «Нехай поб’ють один одного», рольова гра, інтерналізація, очікування, кодування, декодування, когнітивній дисонанс.

The name of the game is treated here as a cognitive frame that unfolds itself in different combinations of moves. These combinations provide more specific cognitive scenarios. Thus, Eric Berne’s “Let you and him fight” game is narrowed down to “Cherchez la femme” game.
“Cherchez la femme” game is extremely popular with people who play it over and over again with varying results, extending beyond the cases characterized by Eric Berne as romantic, tragic or comic. “Cherchez la femme” as a jocular name is in line with Eric Berne’s preference for colloquialisms and is to be treated as a unifying cognitive frame that describes the essence of the game more accurately than LYAHF.
